Default 18x8.5 +48 front fitment question

My current setup in the front is 17x7.5 +48.

I'm looking at a wheel that's closest s2k fitment is 18x8.5 +48.

I've seen people run 17or18x7.5 +43 no problems. Tho, I don't know their alignment specs.

The additional 1" will push out the wheel 12.7mm respective to my current setup.
Respective to the 7.5 +43, it will be 7.7mm further out.

Stock camber s/b ~0.5*. If I run an additional 2* camber up front (for a total of 2.5*), it will pull the top of the wheel in 8mm, which may gain enough to not rub unless on big dips/bumps at high speed.

Does this seem sound? Or is there just no way the 18x8.5 +48 will fit in the front?
Is -2.5* too much for a street car (weekend car)?
I would prefer not to roll my fenders.

Thanks for the help.

silentdancer -
What camber were you running?
Do you recall how much clearance you had before it rubbed?
Were you on aftermarket suspension?
Thanks.

I could of fit a 225 easy (my front fenders were rolled)
Yes I was on coilovers

i suggest you find another set of wheels if you dont want to roll your fenders because with this offset your chances of messing up your front fenders is pretty high. if you turn hard enough or go up a driveway at a steep angle your tire will catch onto the tab holding in the fenderliner and pull it out

Yes, real Work RSZ-Rs. 16x7 +44, 205/16F, 245/16R. Very light! I love the way they look.

If I end up getting these new wheels, I will sell both my Work and BBS wheels.

I'd rather not roll my fenders. When you rolled your fenders, did the paint come off and you had to repaint?
Would removing the fenderliner help to prevent damage while keeping the fenders stock (unrolled)?

Thanks.
