Default Nexen N9000

Any reviews on this tyre? How would it stack up against Dunlop Z1 or Federal 595 RSR?

They're probably not bad when new. The real weakness in this sort of tire is how well it ages. I suspect the performance, smoothness, and quietness is going to drop off faster than more well developed performance tires.

That said, I believe they are a performance class below the Z1 and RSR and will probably never reach the same level of performance as these tires.

Nexen N9000 and Federals are more reserved for the hellaflush crowd where handling takes a backseat to handling. Tire life and affordability probably take precedence over grip.

I bought some used wheels with those tires and 2 of the tires had split at the sidewall from a.blowout. I wasn't really sweating it because the wheels still came with 2 other decent Nexxen tires. Within 2 months I could see cracks appearing in the sidewall on those 2 tires.

Not sure if it was the previous owners neglect or what. But def stay away if they are going on the S2k.
