Nitto NT01's
I just purchased a set of Nitto NT01's and I am going to a track day Sunday and I few a few questions.
Breaking the tires in, do I need to and if so how.
Is it a bad idea to drive these tires to the track hour away or run on my street tires there?
The tracks forecast is highs of 60's and lows of 50's is it going be to cold, Should I just run my street tires?
Thanks you the help.
Matt.

Never used nt01s so I cant say which is better from first hand experience. But, many people will either heat cycle them once and pull the wheels off or put the car up on jack stands for a day or two or just run them as sticker tires and not worry about it. You can drive them to the track and back just fine, the only thing you need to slow way down for or avoid is standing water.
I'm running nt01s right now. I live about 40 minutes from my track and i just drove out there with them. Temps in the morning were 32 but sunny and i think the high was 45. They still performed pretty good. As for heat cycling them, I've only ever had one set of nt01s heat cycled by the tire shop and i honestly can't tell a difference. If you want to heat cycle them, run a few hard laps for 20 minutes, pull off the track and swap them out with your street tires and don't use them for about 48 hours. And like previously said, avoid standing water.
