yes u can at tirerack.com, but the sizes may be limited because star specs is being discontinued. It is one of the affordable extreme performance tires outthere that do not break the bank like bridgestones

In Japan they already have star specs 2 tires.

No, you can not get 245/40/17 star specs anymore. The z1 star spec has been discontinued for a while now. Tire rack is offering close out prices on all z1 star specs and making room for the z2 that will be released in the US in February. The 245/40/17 was one of the first sizes to be sold out. The 265/40/17 is also sold out and the 255/40/17 are almost gone as well.

The rs3 is a good replacement (even better actually) when the climate is dry and hot. They are nowhere on the level of star specs in colder climates and they are utterly worthless in rain/wet conditions.

Tire rack is currently taking preorders on the new z2 star spec.

Its Dunlop Direzza Z2 (not star spec). I'd imagine they would have star spec later down the line just like they did with the Z1 if they decide to change something with the tire line.
