Non Staggered Wheels
Can anybody tell me the advantages/disadvantages of the non-staggered wheel/tire setup? For example, 17 X 9 +45 all around as some Advans have.
From what I have heard:
One poster told me it makes steering very loose which can be more dangerous than the staggered setup.
Any experiences? Or can someone point me to a thread where this has been discussed?

Positive:
You can rotate your fronts with your rears(tire longevity).
Negative:
Unless you are at stock height you will probably have to roll(maybe flare) your front fenders to fit the 17x9's so there are no rubbing issues.
You also have a choice to go with wider front fenders so the tires don't extend past the fenders for a cleaner look.

On my 2006, I found that running 255s on 9" wheels on all four corners made the car more neutral and it didn't have excessive oversteer. It simply cured the stock understeer. I auto-xed the car once with only the wheels/tires as any type of modification.
I have 215 all around, the first owner put 215 on the rear wheels also. guess she did not know any better. Well not a good combo. rear was as loose as a gay guy in prison. I was all over the place and lets just say after the body damage and rear axle replace, stick to factory, they have it that way for a reason.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I am thinking about getting the wheels and running 245s all around. I figured it would be better for snap oversteer, but maybe not make it as nimble.

Since the front tires will be larger, the traction at the fron will be greater, reducing understeer.
Front traction is def much better, and ability to rotate tires is great. Buying new fronts every 15k really sucked. I went to 19by8 all the way around with 235/35 nitto invo. Handling is better, tires are cheaper than stockers, and 19's always look baller.
