Default Normal tread wear?

Before I get new tires I want to make sure this is normal wear. The inside of the tire is practically bald and the outside has almost 4/32" remaining. Should I look into better alignment or is this the norm for these cars?

The rear tires will wear unevenly, but wowzers thats pretty bad. I would recommend swapping the tires from side to side at least once during their lifetime to balance out wear.. i.e. put the rear right tire on the left wheel, and vice versa, but obviously don't flip them since most tires are directional. The outer sidewall will become the inner sidewall.

Yeah both front are like that. The left rear is kinda bad but the right rear looks just like that too.

Any recommendations for what I should look for when shopping for alignments?

The question should be, what are your alignment settings? If that is the rear and you are running more than a -2* camber then yes the tread wear is right. The follow up would be why is it the more than -2*. Autocross? FATT? or other racing event.

Have the alignment checked and then purchase your new tires.

Replace tires and align. That should set you up pretty good. Anyone that has ANY clue how to do an alignment can align an S2K. Camber, caster, toe is all adjustable with no-brainer ease.

-2 deg. camber shouldnt eat tires like that (unless you never turn). Now, some out of whack toe settings will kill tires very quickly.

Be sure to get an alignment with your new tries, which you should do anyway.
