I would not recommend it. The 7.5" width does not suit anything above 245's. Stick to OEM S02's or 245/45's.

Yes you can.
You will get the look, but not the traction,as your rims will be too narrow for the tires.

What is your reasoning for going wider?

Like Emil said, yes, you CAN fit those 255-265 tires on your stock rims. And like I said, they're not really suited to handle a tire that wide. It will make your car handle sloppy. It will even look funny, IMO, to see the tire bulging out so far from the rim.

But it seems like you like to figure things out the hard way. Go and get your 265's and report back.

wow, you're sure quick to judge, asshat. i am simply trying to solve a traction problem. i am on 225's now and i roast the tires through the first three gears.

i'll try 245's i guess.

What kind of tires are you on right now? Because you should not be "roasting" your tires with just over 200 WHP. Something ain't right. Is your clutch slipping or something?

If you're on 225,with anything less than SO2,you got the wrong size, should be 245;read the FAQs.
One more thing;don't call "asshat",people who are trying to help you, because one day,you will need advices, from those "asshats",and you won't get any.!!!
And turn off your CAPS.!!!

225 in the rear is small for all but the stock SO2s. Almost any other 245 tire will fit fine, in fact it's recommended when you don't use stocks. The 255 and 265 tires look pinched and the sidewalls roll on themselves in turns making handling worse. Of course tire compound has a lot to do with traction. If you are running around on all-season 70,000 mile PepBoy specials then you may have a traction issue regardless.
