Default OEM tires

Hey guys, im getting my AP1 s2k late in the summer and i plan on tracking it. I know the oem tires on a ap1 are 205 front and i think 215 in rear but the ap2 goes up to 215 front and 245 rear. My question is, can i fit an ap2 tire size on a ap1 (2002) s2k without rubbing? Is it the same sizes in the wheel well ap1 and ap2? thanks guys

Assuming you swap the AP2 rims with the tires, it'll fit.

My AP1 is 205 front 225 rear.

ok so what if i get a aftermarket 17" wheel and go with the oem sizes for a 2004 s2k which is 215/45/17 and 245/40/17, i should have no issues with rubbing or anything else. So is the wheel base and everything else for 2000-2004 the same?

you cant just fit any 17's. you must check out the spec on the wheels. especially the offset.

and if you are saying getting size and spec 17's as the AP2 then you will be fine.

Ignoring the difference in rim size, you won't have any trouble with AP2 sizes on an AP1.

I would also say if you go 17" you would be better with the 225/45R17 and 255/40R17 for tires.
If I can help with the package let me know.

sweet, thanks guys for the good answers. Hey Jim, im assuming i would also not have any issues rubbing depending on wheel offset of course, with the tire size your recommending, the 225 and 255. Just making sure.

Also what do you guys think of the toyo proxs r888 for track use on separate wheels?

and i was thinking about just having honda oem rotors and some halk hp plus pads for tracking? what about that set up?
