Default Offset and tire question

So prior to picking up the s2k, i use to own a 01 prelude. I had bought some 18x7 wheels with 215/35/18 tires cause i had drop my car 2". I sold the lude and have these wheels left over.. i am at stock height on the s2k and would like to use the same wheels on the s2k. My question is will these wheel work? 18x7 5x100 +42 offset? and what tires do you guys recommend getting for the front and rear to hide the fender gap.

Thx

Bolt pattern is wrong. I believe ours is 5 X 114.x

I guess you could line it up from the other side of the garage, take a long run at it and ram that sucker as hard as you can against the lugs and hope they'll stretch another 4mm per hole.

I can only base my response on the information you give.

If you can't understand dry humour and this hurt your feelings, that's too bad. I'm not your mother. I don't have to worry about your feelings.

I can see that any further interaction with you is pointless. You simply don't have the aptitude to exist on the internet. Ordinarily, I would have some fun with you, but I'm just going nip this in the bud and click the IGNORE button in your profile. I suggest you do the same for me. That way, we shall never have to have anything to do with each other again here.

This means that I will not see anymore of your posts, therefore any future questions or problems you may have with your car, my help and advice will never again, be at your disposal. I only help those who are normal, mentally stable individuals. Your skin is way too thin.

Good Bye.
LOL

it would have been funny if i did what you had mentioned above....

Hey X,

Don't you think that was a little harsh? He is only three days young to this forum. Give him another chance . We all need each other's expertise.

Nope! He's about the third newbie in as many days who has the sense of humour of a sack of turnips. There's another thread going on right now involving yet another newbie who can't seem to understand where another forum user is coming from.

I gave second chances the last couple of times. This only resulted in me getting slammed again and again. They say patience is a virtue. Well, I'm not virtuous anymore. Been burned too many times already.

I've been here a long time and I've never seen so many individuals show up on this site who have such tender feelings and can't take a joke.
So, he WILL stay on my IGNORE list. He can get help from somebody else. He will never get help from me. Most of the "regulars" here with the knowledge will see this and will also be reluctant to help out in future. It's best we simply IGNORE each other and no more interaction of any kind. This way, no more misinterpretation of intent. No more getting bent out of shape over absolutely nothing.

xviper, wow, you seem resentful! I understand where you're coming from 100%, but think about it this way: you're an asset to this forum, because you have the experience and the knowledge, and you know that sooner or later he will need your help like most of the rest of us do. Maybe the joke flew right over his head and he thought you were making fun of him...it would be nice if we could all just get along, after all, that's what we are here for. And yes he did over-react to your joke, because I actually found it funny and not offensive at all, but again, he may need some adjusting to do.

Nope! Just fed up. I voluntarily spend my time here giving advice to people who are complete strangers. I don't need to get crap back. It's not like I get paid for this. Some people think they are owed advice simply because they ask. The joke may have been right over his head, but don't you think that the inclusion of that smilie gave a clue? All that anyone who gives to others on this forum want in return, is a little appreciation back and a little tolerance when they don't quite understand what's been said. Getting shit back when you try to do someone a good turn is just plain not worth it. I now screen those out and save my efforts for those who better deserve it.

This thread serves no more purpose. The original question was answered and all the off topic talk has been talked out.

Finished.

Your wheels aren't ideal in any measurement; They aren't staggered and the offsets suck. You'll need smallish tires compared to the standard 225 front 255 rear tire setup most people run with larger wheels, something like 205 or 215 fronts and 225 or 235 rears.
