Default ok to downgrade in speed rating?

my car came with V rated tires, im thinking of downgrading to H rated.
is this wise, assuming all other specs are equal/better?

i'll never hit the H top speed

thanks

depending on how you drive, you'll feel a difference. the lower the speed rating - generally - the harder the tire, and thus... less likely to grip. but if this is for the TL, H's should be that much of a problem.

If Your suspension is tuned for the higher speed rating ,you should stick to specs or better, downgrading is normally a bad thing !!Stiff suspension can overwork a wimpy sidewall .

Depending on the car and how you drive the H speed rated would be fine. If you are an aggressive driver I would not recommend it . If you are looking for more ride quality and longer tread life you can normally get that with the H speed rating.

If I can help let me know.
Thank you
