Default Optimum offset for 19x8 wheels

Yes rims are for show purposes, though what is the optimum offset for 19x8 wheels with 225/35/19 rubber. Car will also be lowered about 2-3 inches and guards will be lipped and pumped.

You would want to run 48 to 53mm offset. If I can help let me know.

what would be the advantage/difference of running a +53 as opposed to a +48?

The higher the offset, the less likely you'll rub. The S needs a high offset wheel so you won't have them sticking out of the fenders (fugly!)or rubbing issues. Now having said that you don't need to go any higher than +63 offset (rear). Good luck.
