Default OZ Superleggeras Help

Hi all,

I have been scanning through this site for quite a time now and am still confused about the correct size OZ superleggeras to buy.

Most sites recommend 18x8 +45 for front and 18x9 +55 for the rear.

Is this correct? Have people used these option without any rubbing issues? Other posts on here say that this will rub. My car isnt lowered at the moment but I dont want to be in a position where I cannot lower it in the future if thats what I decide.

Should I go for an 18x8 on the rear as well? Is this whell available for the S2000?

http://s2000.byteserve.com.au/wheeloptions/ states I should have a 18x8 +55.....why do all the wheel suppliers state 18x9 +55 ??????

I am planning on running 225/40 at the front and 255/35 at the rear.

Please someone give the the proper answer for what size I should get, I dont want to make an expensive mistake.

Those are the offsets and widths that OZ makes for the car. They are an aggresive fitment fort the car. You may have to roll the fender lips or run more negative camber. I would also recommend to stay narrow with the tires. I would go with the 245/35R18 rear for more clearance.
If I can help let me know.

I have that setup with the rear fenders rolled, so no issues there.

However, I noticed that the front seems to rub... I can't notice it happening, but the top plastic rivets holding the fender liner in place have been sheared off on both sides.

The car is not lowered yet, but I have Espelir springs waiting...

Thanks for the replies.

SB2007 - Did your wheels rub before you rolled the arches, it seems some peoples do and some dont. Maybe it depends on the differences in tyre makes or the slights differences in the cars.

I am running that setup also. With a Kumho 265/35/18 on the rear I rub slightly. My fender are not rolled. I am moving down to a 255/35/18 which should fix the problem. My S03's in that size didn't rub. I am lowered 1' with the Eibach pro kit. I have lost both center rivets also, I just keep a few extras in the toolbox. I usually only loose them after driving in real deep corners.

Good luck! Great wheel choice!

im running volk gt-n 18x7.5 front and 18x8 rear with 49 offset all around (biggest offset for that wheel), and rubbing with my espelir springs.. i need to roll the fenderlip more, plus im running 245/40/18 in the rear with s03s when it should be 245/35/18. hopefully when i get thinner tires, it wont rub anymore.

I bought a set of these and they fit like a glove. They are 17"x7.5", 55mm front with 215/45; 17"x9", 63mm rear with 255/40. I'm running Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's on all four wheels. No modifications were necessary to the body and they do not rub.

Thanks for the replies guys.

If I go for a 245 on the rear, should I also go for 215 on the front? How will this setup work?

If I wont notice the difference in handling and it reduces the chances of rubbing then this sounds good to me, anyone had any issues with this set up ?

Not sure - I had the fenders rolled shortly after I purchased the wheels in anticipation of installing lower springs.

BTW, I have 255-35-18 S03s on the rears.
