Plugged tire
I just plugged one of my rear bridgestone potenza re760 with the sticky rope like plugs. I know the spec ratings on the tire are now compromised but im wondering if they are fine for DD? Has anyone else on here plugged their tires like this and what were your results. My tire had a nail in it and was leaking like 2 psi a day and now after the plug it doesnt seem to leak at all but i will keeep an eye on it. Also im not gonna be tracking the car like this but if my right foot gets excited and say i wanna do a little pull on the street to like 120 then slow down would that be ok. Thanks for all advice
I had the plug repair at home so i went with it. If the tire starts to leak again i will do a patch. My brother whos been plugging his tires for years swore by it and talked me into it. He said it would last the entire lif of the tire. Also just plati dipped the wheels so i didnt want that to be destroyed which is being a lil lazy on my part

It's not the worst way to fix a puncture, but it's not the best either. I'm fussy about certain things on a car, tires, the only contact you have with the road, is one of those things. Big brakes, fancy suspensions, light wheels, all mean nothing without those few square inches of contact patch. In this case, I have the time and money to fix it the best way and so I do, patch from the inside.
