1. You don't state if the car is lowered.
2. You can't tell if it will rub until you decide on a tire.
3. For size of tire, go here:

Was there a special reason you ran that size?

You may find that your "nice deal" will be evaporated once you start having all kinds of rubbing issues or restrictions on the sizes of tires you can run.

17X8.5 +50 is not bad but I would stay with 245/40 17 tire.

But 17X7.5 +43 might rub no matter what so get the skinnist tire you can find or run a wide fender kit.

7.5 43 sucks cause u gotta run 215 to have no rubbing

first of all its too narrow so any tire will buldge giving u rubbage.

second the offset is low as low can be giving u more rub

so ina nut shell dont go wider than 215 and add camber

Hmm test fit the rim..., look at possible rubbing points. roll fender/hammer/dremel where needed. Run a wider tire. You don't need wide fenders. It's better to test fit than guess.

Hmm 215 in one tire doesnt equal 215 from another manufacturer. You could possibly fit 225 depending on the actual tread width of a tire cuz some tires are narrower than others, just a heads up.

The narrowest tire would be the 205/50R17 and then run the 245/40R17 rear. You may still have to roll the fender and or run more negative camber but it would work with the least amount of modification. You can also look to get the narrowest tire in the size for mor clearance.
If I can help let me know.
