This is what I'm ordering, but I autocross on my street tires and I want more grip. I ran 215/255 on my last set (kumho) and had prominent understeer, so I'm going wider up front this time around.

Fwiw, the stock OEM tires traditionally suck compared to the re050a models, but I heard Bridgestone reformulated the compund so they work better. Either way, I'm going asymmetric since I never move my tires side to side.

Hmm, good price on the RE050aPP. What is better about these than the stock RE050? Grip? Tread life? Wet grip?

I would say the Pole Position is the better all around tire. They are going to be a lot better in the wet and they actually should last a littl longer as well. If I can help just let me know.
The best tire size would be the 225/45R17 and 255/40R17. The rebate is through the end of June. Enter my name at the end of the order and I will get the order reviewed and on the way.
