Hey, just looked at the Tire Rack site and saw that the 17's Professors were listed, though not available till 12/20/04. They'll be 17x8, 17x9.5. How much would these weigh? Any help Jim?

Take care.

I don't have the weights of the wheels yet. We will get all of the specs when they come in. I do have some of the 18" and 19" in stock currently in silver and satin.
The black wheels are on order and will be in on the first shipment.
The 17X8 is 49mm offset and the 17X9.5 is 55mm offset. The 18X8 is 49mm and the 18X9 is 62mm offset.
If I can help let me know.

Im thinking about getting these wheels 18X9 in the rear and 18X8 in the front. I read around and ppl have been saying they want the best lip one, the one with more of a deepdish look. Are they talking about SL and NR? Which does have a better deep dish look? Do SL and NR change your wheel offsets? If so can you tell me what offsets would i need for both the SL an NR in the sizes i want so I do not have to roll my fenders and have rubbing issues. I think its more of a tire issue and its addressed in my second question.

Currently my car suspension is stock. I know that if these wheels were put on a stock car it would look a bit funny, so im thinking about getting springs to lower the car a bit. So im choosing between the KG/MM SS or H&R Springs. Both will lower my car .60 - .80 front and back. Because i will be changing my springs i would need a different size tire then i would have if i kept my stock setup. Which tiresize would you suggest so that i wont have to roll my fenders and have rubbing issues.

Tony Yeung...Springs do not change offsets. Springs only lower your car.Lowering your car changes your alignment. Getting a proper alignment after lowering your car helps not to rub and helps tire wear. The offsets offer by Tire Rack are good for a lowered cars. Choose the correct staggered tire size for your wheels. This is important. 225/40-18 & 255/35-18. I believe this is correct. Please chime in anybody if they have any additional info.Hope this helps...BillyBlast

I just wanted to say thanks to Jim. I ordered the 18x8 and 18x9 in the black chrome today......As always he was very helpful, he even held two sets of wheels until I decided on 18s or 19s

Thanks Jim
