Punctured tire. Replace or not?
I've got a quick (if boring) question. My mom just got her Silver/Red S2000 about a month ago, (yes, coolest mom ever), and she ran over a screw which punctured the right rear tire, causing it to go flat. The dealer fixed the tire, but I'm not sure if it was plugged or patched. The tires have no significant wear on them yet--they still look brand new.
She plans on some track use in the future, in which case she would definitely replace the tire, but for daily driving around town and some fun Sunday driving in the hills, would you replace the tire or leave it? Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

A properly performed repair can be effective, and like you suggest, I would not use the repaired tire on the track. The best solution is to have a dedicated set of track tires mounted on another set of rims. Keep your eyes open for a used set of wheels that should cost around $1000 with nearly new tires, or about $600 for a good set of rims. Stick on some Kumho V700s or Toyo RA1s and hang on.
I just had a puncture today( its this shit going around ) anyways where should i take it honda? to be fixed, it was a screw i tried taking it out but felt air coming out and left it as is, going to dealer tomorrow to have them take a look at it. By the way if you need a left rear tire with a rim let me know, mine was the right rear tire, i had a spare i from a totaled stook but it is the left rear my luck hunh?!?!?!

The following is a quote from the Bridgestone/Firestone booklet that came with my S-03 " A tires speed rating is void if the tire is repaired, retreaded, damaged, or abused or otherwise altered from its origional condition. Thereafter, it should be considered a non speed-rated tire" Page 11.

I've grown up with the quote - a squealing tire is a happy tire!
