Q to Jim about SSR
Hi Jim,
I was wondering how reliable SSR is with production/shipment dates?
To give you a little background information about my story; I called and placed an order for some 18" SSR SP1's in early September sometime. I was told the rear wheels were custom order and it would take a bit of time. So I had the order separated (I received the fronts right away), the rears I was told would arrive at the beginning of December. December came and I called my sales rep. he told me it appears they have been made and will be shipped to tire rack on 1/12/07. I called again today to check up on the status and now I'm being told that it appears it won't happen till 2/15/07. I just feel like I'm being given the run-around and that it'll be the end of the season this year and I will finally get my wheels.
At this point I am thinking of returning the two fronts that were sent to me and cancelling the rears, just to order a set of wheels I know I will receive.
Sorry this message is so long-winded and I understand if you really have no answer from me and this is just how SSR works. I guess I just wanted to bounce my feelings off of someone who works with tirerack, deals with SSR/S2K people.
Thanks,
-Matt

Hi Matt, So far the new company has not been as reliable on delivery times. Send me an email with your order number or the billing phone number and I can check.
