Q's about Advan RG-D
I prefer the widest tire with the widest wheel base for max performance. So I would go with the +45 offset in this case, but 60 is the safe approach. The bigger front sway bar seems to be a somewhat popular trend with a non staggered set up, since it balances the car back out closer to its original traction bias from front to rear. To me adding more rubber up front to then reduce it with a stiffer front bar isn’t the ideal method to gaining more performance. I would prefer to let the coilovers do the work since they are adjustable and just run more rubber/increase traction in the rear to balance things, that way your taking more steps forward with performance, then one step forward and one back again if that makes sense. But to each their own. Driving style and preference plays a part, as well as what year S you have, because they came with different weight biased sway bars front and rear. 00-01 came with stiffer in the back, 02-03 was biased the other way and ap2 was different as well. So until you are driving your car currently at the limit and it is readily apparent to you that you’re lacking something, then you wont really know what’s going to offer you better performance. You might make things worse.
Its been a long overdue upgrade for quite while, with the coilovers and the supercharger and the brakes, my weakest point has been my tires for quite a while. I have been at the limit of what my tires could offer me for sometime and and dont want to upgrade my tires and limit myself with my wheel width. I've had great experiences with my stock setup but blasting down the autobahn and german backroads requires something more.
