question for the wheel/tire experts
in the rear......17x7.5 +40
the sticky at the top says that 235 is the ideal tire size for that offset in the rear....but can i get away with 245???

because i have j-mags, and i'm going to order the 17x7.5's today for the rears, to go with the 16x7 +40 in the front

'Dunno Driver. Surprises happen alot more often to daily drivers than to track cars.
When you're in anything other than a straight line n' the Big Guy yells "surprise!" n' throws a deer, r' somethin' that fell off the truck you're behind, r' a kid chasin' his ball in frunna you . . . . not havin' that extra patch offered by the missin' two inches of rimwidth in the back might not be worth all the good looks in the world.
Stewie don't take kindly to lessenin' the rear traction.
As always, the precedin' was personal opinion.
