Default Racing Wheel

I want a nice light weight racing wheel with good offset so they fit flush. I want the widest thing I could possibly install without having to modify anything. I'm gettin suspension this summer (probably KW V3) as well as the wheels and I need advice. Budget for the rims should be around $2k w/o tires. I'm clueless when it comes to this so help me out you wheel gooroos!. Looks + performance = best. I kinda want something gold.

1) Spoons SW388's / Regamaster EVO's

2) 16" Forged Work Emotions

3) 16" Volk TE37/ Volk CE28

These are moderately aggressive offsets, but they sit very flushed with the fender and are extremly light

The only problem is locating a set of these. boo.

Although, I do have a RARE set of one of these

The cheapest, widest, lightweight rims I found with proper offsets are the TR Motorsports F3 from tirerack.com. They're forged rims (made by Enkei...shhhh don't tell anyone ) and made to re-use the stock lugs and center caps. Actually, these are pretty much the same size as AP2 rims and you can use 225/255 tires on them without fitment issues at all.

There may be other good options out there, but this definitely fits your requirements. They only come in one color, but if you REALLY want gold, you can have them powder coated

Finally, if you want to stretch your budget a little for better rims there is a set of brand new Volk CE28N Time Attacks for sale $2100 shipped on the FS board. These are a little wider & lighter than the TRM wheels, but now sell for over $2400 typically.

Good luck!

I'd recommend going to a 17" rather than staying with the 16". Getting decent performace tires for the 16" is getting really tough and likely to get even more tough in the future.

17's are a must after watching options videos where they tested the ap1 with ap2 rims and knocked a lot of time off their laps. CE28's are a possibility I keep hearing good things

CE28N 17X7.5 +50 / 17X9 +63 hands down.

Forged, light weight, strong, priced well, and with excellent fitment.
