Default Re-11 on rears and re-01r on fronts?

I purchased a set of Re01r's over 1.5 years ago and my s2000 has put maybe 12000 miles on it since. The rears are worn down and need to be replaced. My fronts are still great. Unfortunately re01r's are discontinued. Would it be a problem to replace the rears with the new re-11 and when those wear out I feel I would be able to get a whole new set again? Anybody have experience running this setup? I have no problems buying a whole new set but feel it would be a waste of 2 front tires.

They are a very close match. The RE-11 would make the car push a little at the limits.
