Re-balancing necessary?
Forgive me here for may seem to be a pretty dumb question:
When you change wheels (with tires on) from another person's S to yours, do any of you re-balance?
Technically speaking, the tires are balanced to the WHEEL, NOT the car, correct? Therefore, even if putting somebody else's wheels/ tires (with different size rims/tires from what you HAD on) on YOUR car (assuming both cars are the same type), re-balancing would be a waste of time and money?
Or is it more a matter of personal preference?
Interested to hear from those that say you SHOULD re-baance, and WHY??
Thanks,
HB
