RE30 in Time Attack Trim?

I was out at the local meet tonight and I saw on a Bimmer what appeared to be RE30s in time attack trim (matte black w/red lip). Were these actual RE30s?

It might have been a custom job.

From my recollections, the TA style were only for CE's and TE's which are now discontinued now.
