Default Rear Tire Size for 16" rims

I recently bought a used s2k. The previous owner had put Dunlop SP Sport 5000's on it all around (you know, the asymetrical ones--in stock sizes). I didn't like this tire because you can't swap them midway through their life due to the asymmetry. The back ones were bald so I replaced them with a Bridgestone potenza RE750 in a 245/45/16. Now the height of a 245/45 tire is supposed to be: 110.25 mm per my calculations. The height of a 205/55 (the size of the dunlop that is still on the front) should be: 112.75 mm. Now I didn't expect to detect a difference like this, but I must say, the car looks funny now because the rear tires look to be much lower profile than the fronts. Is this just due to the difference in the type of tire on the front and the rear? Eventually i'll change out the fronts with RE750s, will this fix the problem?
