Default Reconditioned wheels?

I found a company that reconditions factory wheels that has the AP2 wheels. They are $880 for the set. Here is the company,

$880 seems a bit much just to have stock wheels.

It's actually a bargain, compared to buying them brand new @ approx $550 each.

What I am mostly interested in is am I going to have to worry about the paint flaking off them or are they going to explode at 70 mph on the highway. Stuff like that. Anybody have any experience with reconditioned wheels?

If you go to a reputable place for reconditioned wheels, they usually offer a lifetime warranty on the finish. As for them exploding, I'm pretty sure those places would be out of business pretty fast if that ever happened.

I have had 4 different wheels re-conditioned and had no issues with any of them. Repairs I had done were: Bends (in the lip and hub), chunks of the wheel replaced and lips re-polished. The wheels were back to new and I continued to drive aggressively on them with no issues whats so ever

I would recommend looking at the work (other wheels they have repaired)and the type of cars/wheels they are working on. Shop I went to (Advanced Wheel Repair) had a bunch of high end wheels they were fixing and they had photo albums of before and after pics of work they had performed as well as a guarentee on their work + they were honost and not very expensive
