Default Replace wheels and winter tires at the same time?

I'm a newbie to ordering winter tires. The OEM tires for my 06 S2k are 17" but I see on the Tire Rack site that they only carry recommended winter tires for the S in 16" sizes.

Would I also need to buy new wheels if I replaced the tires with winter 16"?

16 inch tires wont fit on 17 inch rims (obviously) so yeah youre probably gonna need to get some aftermarket 16" or oem ap1 wheels for the winter if you want 16 inch tires, there are 17 inch snow tires but theyre more expensive and are limited in size and selection, so i'd say get a set of ap1 16", slap on a set of blizzaks (or similar) and youre good to go

I agree with minh. AP1 rims can be had for really cheap (I've seen some locally for $75!). It's a whole lot better than having to swap tires on your rims (dings from tire store from swapping, the hassle, the wait, cost, etc. etc.)
