Default replacing stock tires question

I have about 12K miles on my 2002 S2000, and I will soon be replacing the rears. I called several tire dealers in the eastern Virginia area, and most said the Bridgestone Potenza S-02 has been discontinued, and that there weren't any in the state of Virginia. Others quoted me prices of $494 and $632 for two tires!!

I see that the TireRack has the S-02 tires for way way cheaper. I have never ordered tires online before, is there anything I need to know? And which tires on the TireRack site are EXACT matches for the S2000 rear tires? Jim?

Thanks a lot in advance...

It's on their website. The tires have been discontinued except in stock S2000 and stock Porsche sizes, so you will have no problems getting replacements.

I just ordered two rear S-02's from the Tire Rack and they were delivered on time without any problems about two weeks ago.

I have been ordering my tires from Tire Rack for many years now. Their prices and service are excellent. Just make sure you get the tires mounted at a shop that guarantees no rim damage. Tire Rack has recommended installers listed on their site.

Stay away from Bridgestone Potenza - they're crap. That's all I have to offer... I drive hard, but not hard enough to have to replace the tires twice a year due to balling, treadwear and shredding... it's b.s.

Tire Rack RULES I wouldn't buy tires anywhere else. And Bridgestone Potenza's are excellent tires. I don't know what Ibiza is talking about.
