Default Replica wheels?

I would like to get a set of '04-'05 S2000 wheels. I see "replica" wheels on Ebay. Has anyone bought these and are you satisfied with the quality?

I would stay away from those for that price they have to be made very cheaply and not durable at all. Hit any little pothole and good bye wheel

Ok and what information do you have to back that statement up?? I have had to replica wheels on the rear of my car for over 15,000 miles and haven't had the slightest problem. Yes, they are a bit heavier than the stock wheels that are made by Honda...you shouldn't have any issues with the replicas.

this is where I purchased my wheels:

+1

I don't have anything to back it up, but like you said they weigh more which is already a negative comparing to stock wheels. I am just thinking logically if they are selling that wheel at 190 and still making a profit they are mostly likely cheaping out somewhere. It's just my opinion and this is the internet so take it with a grain of salt

I haven't seen a set of AP2v1 go for below $700, plus the used wheels might be all scratched up, then you'll be paying a $100 per wheel to have them refinished.

the replica wheels weigh about 2lbs heavier than the stock, so it's not much to even argue over. I love this argument because most of the people that say getting heavier wheels is a negative thing, but then these same people have 300lbs of stereo equipment in the trunk.

If you can find the factory wheels for the above $400 price, then go for it, but if you decide to go the replica route, you wont have any issues...if you are worried about the extra weight, hit a gym!!

Just an fyi I sold my set of V1s for around 500 w/o tires but have seen many sets go for around 550-600 with tires (asking price meaning could have sold for less). Also, the weight isn't the main problem with replica wheels.

If you want the replica wheel go for it, it's your decision and won't impact me at all
