Right rear wearing faster

My right rear OEM S02 is wearing faster than the left (IMO significantly faster). I know I've seen a post on this but can't find it.

Since I'll need to replace the rears soon, is this an alignment thing that needs to be fixed? If alignment is not the issue should I swap the tires (left to right side, right to left side) at 5000 miles when I get the new ones?
