RIM HELP.
OK SO I WILL BE PURCHASING AN S2000 VERY SOON AND IM RESEARCHING RIMS THAT WILL FIT WITHOUT ANY FENDER/BODY MODIFICTAION. NOW TO EACH IS OWN AND WHAT NOT, BUT THE HELLAFLUSH THING IS JUST NOT FOR ME, PLUS THE S2K IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL CAR I DONT WANNA MESS WITH SOMETHING THATS ALREADY PERFECT. SO IM LOOKING AT SOME 17x7 WITH AN OFFSET OF 40MM IN FRONT AND A 17x8 WITH AN OFFSET OF 47MM IN REAR. WILL THIS WORK IN THE "JUST PURCHASE AND PUT ON" SENSE? AND ALSO WILL IT LOOK GOOD? I DONT WANT THE WHEEL TO BE TO TUCKED IN. ALSO I WAS PROLLY GONNA USE THE STOCK TIRE SPECS, OR MAYBE A LITTLE SKINNIER TIRE, FALKEN AZENIS IS WHAT IM LOOKING AT. AND THIS IS GONNA BE WITH MAYBE A 2, MAYBE 2.5 INCH DROP.........ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED AND THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
P.S. IM SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS, ITS A BAD HABIT AND ILL TRY AND WORK ON IT LOL.

17x7 with 215 and 17x8 with 245 is the largest I would run on both of those wheels. A smaller size is more ideal for those size wheels. Not sure why you would want to use a smaller tire (kind of gets into the hellaflush territory). The sizes you listed (17x7 +40, 17x8 +47) will most likely rub with a 2-2.5 inch drop. Unless you really are going to use small tires. 17x7.5 +50 and 17x9 +63 are safe aftermarket sizes, plus you can use stock sizes.
I MENT SMALLER TIRE LIKE LOW PRO OR SOMETHING, NOT LIKE SMALLER STRECHED. SO I CAN USE A 9INCH WIDE RIM IN THE BACK WITH A 63 OFFSET AND I DONT HAVE TO ROLL NUTHN? THE REASON I USED THOSE SPECS IS CAUSE IM LOOKING AT GETTING SOME DRAG DR9'S FOR THE TIME BEING, AND THATS THE SPECS FOR THE SPECIFIC RIM I WAS LOOKING AT. AND U SAY IT WILL RUB AT THAT DROP? HMMMM, SO IS THERE A TIRE YOU CAN RECOMMEND THAT WONT RUB? SORRY IF IM BEING A PAIN IN THE ASS BUT IM REALLY NEW TO ALL THIS, AND MY BRAIN CANT REALLY COMPREHEND ALL THE CHARTS AND STUFF POSTED ON HERE LOL, SO IF SOME OF THE THINGS IM SAYING OR ASKING SOUND FUKN STUPID THATS WHY. OH AND ALSO IS IT WISE TO USE A 7INCH WIDE RIM ALL THE WAY AROUND? CAUSE I KNOW THE STOCK SPECS FOR THE CAR SAY THE REAR IS STAGGERD.....WILL 7 ALL THE WAY AROUND EFFECT DRIVEABILTY FOR THE WORSE? THIS IS ALSO MY FIRST RWD CAR AND IM CONCERNED ABOUT GRIP...AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH spa01s2k.
17x9 +63 is considered a standard offset size for the rear of an S2000. You should have no problems with it.
If you really want to use those rims you are going to rub. Maybe with a little bit of negative camber you could do it. When you are talking about a lower profile tire you would be using 215/40R17, which there are a bunch of tires available, and a 245/35R17 which there are almost no tires in that size. You would still have to change the width of the tire VS stock, ex: 235/40R17.
I would not recommend using a 7 inch wide wheel all around. This would give you less grip in the rear of the car, as the widest tire I would put on a 7 inch wheel is a 225. Non-staggered setup is a big debate with the S2000, some like it some don't. I have 17x8.5 with 255/40R17 all around and love it. But this is more info than you probably want to get into.

word up thanks for the help, after looking into stuff more and more i think ima go with the jlb Work Meister S1 knockoffs in s2k offsets, 18x8 +45, 18x9 +50......the guy says he runs a 215/45 tire and required no fender modifications/rolling, which is my main goal, i refuse to do it....im just not sure what kind of drop i can get from that, i want a super low drop, like at least 2", but im sure ill prolly end up rubbing that low.....anyone have an opinion on that? thanks you guys for ur help and patients.

im assuming thats the tire size he used all the way around, he didnt say otherwise. why?, does that not sound right? he didnt say he was dropped 2" though, thats just how low i would like, i could do 1.5" maybe..also someone said they used this setup with no modification......" 215/40/18 front and 245/35/18 rear"...... but they didnt say if they were dropped or not....so does the 215/45 sound good for those wheel specs on a 1.5" drop with no fender mod/rolling required? again thats my main goal.
