Default Rota and offsets... Help

Ok... Contrary to what "most" people on this board will say, I want slipstreams on my s2k. I read Russ's write up on the slips and he said you can use 16x7 with a 45 offset.

My question is could I used 40 offset in front and 45 offset in the back? Would'nt that make the back slightly wider assuming I am useing stock size tires, 205s in front and 225s in back???

Also... I am also looking at the Rota Boost wheels. They come in 17x8 with a 35mm offset and 17x8 with a 48mm offset. Would the 35s work on the front and the 48s on the back... or would I want 48s all around??

THANKS GUYS..... Im really confused on the offset stuff.

Stay with the highest offsets available on all four corners. FYI, the lower the offset the farther out the tire will sit. Stock offsets are 10mm lower in front than back but the rim is 1" (25.4mm) wider. That equals the outside edge of the rear rim 2.7mm further out from the mounting surface than the front. If you were to go with the same width rim and a lower offset in the front it would stick out further than the rears which would be visually noticeable as well as audibly (rubbing) since there is less room up front than rear.

Also I don't see where the boost comes in 5x114.3 and the bore size listed is too small for the S.

I always forget exactly what it is so I'm gonna let somebody answer but it is over 70 in the front and the rear is smaller like mid 60's.

Okay, after numerous posts about Rotas fitting on the S, and my numerous replies about them fitting AND after the numerous PMs regarding my setup (which is actually Russ's setup that has been passed around the So. Fla. guys) , I will finally answer all the questions.

I currently run 16x7, 45+ offset all the way around (Slipstreams).

Tire size is 205/50 in the front, 225/45 in the rear. I would LOVE to go with a wider rear tire (245) but have been told that it won't fit. I THINK that the OEM SO2s would fit being that they are 225, but have a 245 contact patch. When I get new tires, I will see if they fit.

I will post pictures for sure tomorrow as its late and I actually just stripped the Rotas (they are actually polished underneath the black paint ) so I want some sun on them. They aren't completely finished yet, still need some fine tuning, but you will all get an idea on how they look.

any idea where to order them in 16x7 with a 45 offset. I ordered them yestereday, and today the company calls me and says rota doesnt have any 45 mm offset in stock so they refunded me. WTF.

Take this theory though.. from what the second post says... Wouldnt it make sense to put 45 offset in front with a 205 tire and a 40 offset in rear with a 225??

I have no idea where to order them, as I got them used.

I don't want to recommend any offsets except for what I use, since I am not too well-versed in offsets, and I wouldn't want to screw you up.

I'm sure Jim will chime in regarding the offsets. I'll show you my pics tomorrow and you can see how they look on the car, even though I still need an alignment, heh.

Here is where I got my subzero's: http://www.jlbmotorsports.com/

They are in the process of updating the site. They used to have a link with a full list of in-stock wheels. Email them and they should be able to let you know what's available.

What size subzeros did you get and with what offsets.... and JLB says they come in 67 for a hubbore.. but someone else says you need 73 for the front.

What are the exact specs of all yours?

New Idea.... Rota slips with 16x7 in front with 45 offset and 16x8 in back with 48 offset, who thinks this would be even better then 45s all around??
