rpf1 17x8 front/ 18x9.5 rears
Hey guys was thinking of doing a 17/18 setup. Was wondering first of all if anyone else has done this on their S? PICS would be great!
Secondly...
Would a 275/40 fit on a 9.5?
Thirdly...
Will a 38 offset be too agressive for the rears and stick out?
Also what size sidewall should i be getting?
Anything else I would have to modify to run this setup?
THANKS for all feedback in advance.

1- IMO, this will look a little "too" staggered. I have 17x8/9+45 now, and I already wish I had a little less offset in the front.
2- yes, that tire would "fit" that wheel, but it would be too tall. For an 18, you want a 35 height, and I certainly wouldn't try to run a 275 @ all on a s2k...without having overfenders or widebody.
3- +38 looks good on stock body, if you roll / slight pull / relocate bumper tab. I'd run a 255/35/18 or a 245/35/18 (if you can find those sizes) for the rear. For the front, a 225/45/17 should be good. Overall, you'll want a good roll all the way around, with a slight pull and tab relocate in the rear. You will also need to trim down your bumper in the rear.

275 will fit. It depends on the brand/model of tire as well. I have falkens and a 255 looks stretched onto my 9.5" but i know others with 255's that sit flush on their 9.5".
my rears are 18 x 9.5" +40 with a 255. The +38 will fit but i wouldnt try a 275 without overfenders with that offset. stick with a 255, its plenty.

Most cars that come with bigger-diameter rear wheels also have bigger-diameter rear TIRES, so the front/rear sidewalls are close to the same height. On the S, you'd want to keep front/rear tire diameters close to the same, so you'd have to have ~1" taller front sidewalls than rear. This can give a "big-fronts/little-rears" look, as the front sidewalls will look beefier than the lower-profile rear sidewalls.
Regarding +38 offset 18x9.5" wheels, IMO that's a no-go without some body mods.
Personally, I'd sooner just go with +45 17x8's and 17x9's with 215/45 or 225/45 fronts and 245/40 or 255/40 rears.
But then I've never been a fan of the wheel lip sticking out beyond the bodywork with superstretched tires...

It's common on NSX to run a size stagger front to rear. Just be sure to keep your tire profiles correct to account for the larger rim in back.
