What is the best figment for 17" rpf1s that does not rub on an all stock ap1?

F: 17x8 +45
R: 17x9 +45

This is the most common setup and will not rub at stock height.

When I saw that setup on tirerack.com it had a warning for the rear 17x9. Said might need fender modifications. How about 17x8 +45 square?

At stock to slightly lowered height and proper alignment with 215/245 it wont. I would recommend this size as well. You really don’t want to run a narrower then factory ap2 rim size in the rear. Your short changing your upgrade.

TireRack is also on the very conservative side when it comes to fitment. Nothing wrong with being conservative, but we've had many customers run a 225/255 set up at stock height with no ill consequences.

TireRack is conservative in their fitments as a lot of their customers wouldn't know what to do if they had tons of sizes available to them. They want to make sure they fit easily, that the customer is happy, and that nothing needs to be sent back to them.

Let us know if we can help with anything.
