Default RPF1 Fitment

I'll throw on my flame suit for this but...

Okay I know there are probably a few of these threads, but I looked through 5 pages and couldn't find a recent one.

For those of you who want GOLD instead of the everywhere else SILVER RPF1's, I think I've found a solution:

www.1010tires.com:
I think I've figured out a formula to fit the stock S2000's, however this isn't proven yet, but after 10+ hours of research, this SHOULD be okay.

Gold RPF1:
17x8 +45 all around

Tires:
215/40/17 fronts
245/40/17 rears

With this setup, you lose quite a bit of weight AND keep stock tire sizes!

Any thoughts?

That will work but most people don't like the look of the 8" +45, especially on the rear. There is a night and day difference in looks compared to the concave 9" +45. You could run those tire sizes on 9" +45 also and only have to do minimal modding to the fenders if any, depending on ride height and alignment settings.

Stock ride height ofcourse.

But can anyone second this?

Stock height you wont have any issues. Im stock height with 17x8/9 +45 and the same tire sizes you mentioned. Once you go lower is when you'll probably need to do minor fender mods.

You could do a 245 on the 17x9 +45 on the rears and it will look WAY better than the 17x8. The convex of the 17x8 on the rear looks weird IMO. You won't need much fender work on the rear to make it fit either at stock height. Just roll the fenders and relocate the tab.

You wont even need to do that for a 245 on a 17x9 at stock height.

I dont have any pics since I just got the car and I currently have the Blizzaks on the car but I can vouch for some fitment.

I have the 17x9 +45 RPF1's all the way around. Front tires are 235/40/17 and rears 255/40/17. The rear is absolutely perfect. The previous owner had used a cutting wheel and took out the fender roll so it looks stock but has all the possible room. The fronts needed some work to fit the 235's. It sticks out less than a 1/2 inch.

I have the Tein Mono Flex coilover set near full soft and about a 1.5 finger gap all around. Once I rolled the front fenders, I had no rubbing.

Hope this helps.

would 255/40/r17 fit the rear with only a fender roll and a relocation of the bumper tab?
