Default RPF1 Over BBK

Looking for a cheap extra set of track wheels. I was curious if a 17X9 +35 will clear my BBK.. I tried a friends 17x9 +45 and it would not fit.

Any input?

Thanks

Check out the brake section. What bbk are you running? The 17x9 rpf1 will not fit any bbk to my knowledge. The 17x8 does fit with spoon and stoptech.

Why would a 17x8 fit and a 17x9 not fit? It would seem like a 17x9 +35 would give you plenty of space for a BBK.

I havent seen anyone(To my knowledge) with 17x9 with BBK...Reason is that the 17x8 is a non concave RPF1. The spokes poke rather than concave giving clearance for the bbk to fit. The 17x9 is flat and closer to the hub and the BBK would rub. You may be able to pull it off with a spacer...

Thanks guys

I figured as much, Im running an AP brake setup and was just wanting some cheap nice quality track day wheels without buying more Volks. And I have always liked the RPF1 I have some loose spacers and will see if I can stack enough on my friends +45 and then subtract the difference I added and let you know what fits and see if its available.

FYI you could try going with the Enkei PF01 wheel. The 17x9 +48 is supposed to clear the AP Racing and Wilwood kit (as told to me by a member on the Racing and Comp forums), and they also make a 17x9 +35 which almost surely would fit. The member is the white AP2 with the ASM or Shine fronts...he used to have silver PF01s and then switched to black RPF1s. He doesn't have a BBK but said friends that did test fit the wheel. Don't recall the user name.

Wow, I wouldn't have guessed that an RFP1 17x9 45 would have so little clearance. I have a 17x9 57motorsports wheel and I have maybe a 3/4" gap between the wheel and my bbk caliper.

stoptech and ap racing both have print-outs so you can try to fit with your wheel
