I'm pretty sure the offset of the wheels are causing the rubbing.

isn't the tire too tall?

255/50/18? I thought the aspect ratio should be less than that

considering I am running a 255/40-17 on my car with a 17x9+55...

... it seems you should be running a 255/35?? on an 18? That could have a lot to do with your rubbing issue.

Also, what are your suspension settings? are you lowered? if so, how? and in addition to that, what camber settings are you running?

255/50/18 is way too tall. The correct size should be 255/35/18
