Default S-02s backwards

For dry track use only, can you get away with running a well-worn (down to the wear bar) set of S-02s backwards on the fronts? That would let me swap right and left, and probably give me an extra track day or two on the set I have, since the local track really eats up the right front tire.

I know many directional tires don't make much difference except in the wet, but I know some do. What's the experience with the S-02s?

Once I burn them off a little more I'll probably replace them with something like an RA-1, but I'd rather use them all the way up.

I was at that crossroad about a month ago and I just opted to have my local tire shop just unmount the tires and swap the rims.

Not sure about running them backwards, but as you said, on most directional tires, running backwards is not a problem in the dry.

I did see a test (I think it was in Grassroots motorsports) and even in the wet running the tires backwards didn't affect lap times.
