Default s02's vs. RE-01's

Hey guys. Ill be getting a new wheel setup soon and I want to know which one has best dry grip. I live in the deserts of cali so I am not worried about the rain.

they still sell S02's?

I have been amazed with the RE01R's - they offer grip that is almost like an R compound.

so did you decide with neveronlines2k's wheels or the ce28s?

i have the re01rs and i think the dry grip is better than the s02. s02's or re050pp would probably have better tread wear though

In the testing that we have done I would go with the Bridgestone RE-01R. They turned over 1G on a skid pad here on a stock BMW 3 Series. For a street tire that is very impressive.
If I can help let me know.

RE01R has the best dry grip it's class of street tire, if you want wet and dry performance I recommend the Advan Neova

okay I know absolutely nothing about tires yet, so I'm trying to learn now Im going to go with RE01's I just need to know what size side wall or if you can even get different sizes. I want to match OEM close as possible so I dont throw off my speedometer much. All I know is I think I wanna run a 225 in front and 255 in rear.

So what would that look like? 17/?/255.

Hopefully that all makes sense

ps: I am open for tire size suggestions. My wheel config is: 17x7.5 +48 and 17x8.5 +54.

Edit: again main concern is dry performance. this car will be used at the track and only in dry weather

see if jim@tirerack can get you the correct sizes. i'm currently running 225/245 because the 255 wasn't in stock when i ordered. but i think it is 225/45/17, 255/40/17. looking at tire rack's website, they ran out of the 255 setup but maybe you can call jim and see if they still have it.
