S2000 Center Cap Removal
Looking for some help.
I own a 2001 AP1 with stock 16" wheels and I recently bought a set of used AP2 V1 used wheels. The wheels are in pretty good shape but the center caps are not. The center caps from my 16" wheels are perfect so I thought I swap them. I'm assuming they are interchangeable and do not know the ideal way to get the caps off without damage.
I understand they should come off from the inside, but whats the best way and do you remove that metal retaining ring or clip first? That looks like it help maintain tension or do you just tap from the back and hope all your plastic tabs are intact afterwards?
Thanks !!!

Don't try to pry them off. Pop the wheels and tap out with something padded. I have a hammer with a rubber padded handle that works well.
Remember during installation that the base of the "H" must point to the valve stem. Otherwise you'll be the laughing stock of the car world.
My "tire and paint guy" is anal about this. He made his assistant take the wheels off my car and point the "H" properly. He was still yelling at his assistant when I drove off.
Little did I know. I was saved from near fatal embarrassment.

(Reminds me, the car is due for her monthly wash.)
