Default Same Size Rims?

So I purchased my S2000 about a month ago and I'm looking to put rims. I'm looking to purchase the Enkei EKM3 Wheel in size 17 with a +45 offset. However, I read somewhere that your rear wheel HAS to be wider. Is this true? and will these wheels even fit my S without me having to roll the fenders or any major mods? What tires will I have to run? Any wheels you would recommend for my Spa Yellow Pearl AP1?

Rears don't *have* to be wider, though that would theoretically act to reduce the car's oversteer tendencies in many circumstances.

You can run wider tires on same-size wheels anyway. Looks like those only come in 7" width for 17" diameter? Hafta say I'm very much NOT a fan of lower offset wheels that are narrower than stock rears!

But you could easily run stock AP1-widths: 205/50-17 fronts with 225/45-17 rears

How would these look in terms of fitment on my car? I'm trying to go for the flush look...
would these wheels be sticking in too much?

The 45mm offset is going to stick out further than the OE wheels depending on the width of the wheel.

so would any rolling of the fenders be necessary? How much would they stick out?
Because I don't think its the flush look I'm going for.

will probably need rolling but depending on your ride height.

They are only 7" wide! That's like a Civic wheel. Please don't get those for an S2000. Stick to stock if you can't afford something better.

What do you recommend then thats under 800 for decent starter rims? I'm not looking for top of the line rims right now, I'm rolling on some cheap all white 16 inch "rotas" I think. Need an upgrade!

Save up a little more or look for used wheels in the Classifieds.
