Default Which size is best?

Im ordering my rims tonight. Im getting Rays 57S. Ive searched the forums and it seems like the popular choice is to get 17x7.5 front and 17x9 rear. Is that our default choice? Im not too sure if the rears are supposed to be 17x8.5 or 17x9.0. Someone please help me out soon so i can order them.

As for tires, im ordering Bridgestone SO-3's. What sizes do i need?

Assuming the offset is the same, there isn't much difference in the two widths.

I checked the Tire Rack's web site and it looks like you can use these two sizes no matter which rear wheel width you get: 205/50 YR17 and 245/40 YR17. These are both Bridgestone Pole Position SO-3 tires.

They have about 1/2" more tread on both the front and rear tires, will fit the wheel widths that you are looking into and they are very close to the original overall tire diameter (to keep the gearing and speedometer correct).

These are the RAY's wheels that I am using. They are 17" and are also 7.5" in front and 9" in the rear. 50mm offset in the front and 63mm in the rear and they fit great.

Enjoy your new wheels,
Bob

I just need some people to vouch for the same info and if it effects handling in any ways.

What happens if i run with this size. would i have problems?
17x7.5 +48 front
17x8.5 +48 rear

would it look bad or not even fit? I know some people are running +48 all around, but isnt the rears supposed to be +63?

I was browsing and fell upon a picture of 5zigen gn+ and im wondering if i should get those. Any know the weight?

Or should i just wait for LE-37's?

I would suggest that you check this link

It should answer most of your questions. If not, I would talk to Evo s2000. He sells these wheels.

BTW....if you happen to look at the back of your OEM wheels you will find the wheel sizes on the back of one of the spokes. The standard offset is 55mm front and 65mm back.

Good luck with your search,
Bob
