Default Which size tires to get?

Okay peeps, I search but couldn't really find a answer so here it goes.

Wheels are: 17x8/17x9 PF01's, tires looking to get are the nitto nt05.

Now for the rears I'm set on 255/40 but for the fronts I'm still debating on either 225/45 or 235/45.

I'm on stock height ap2 and boosted. My only concern with the 235/45 is that it might rub in the inside and outside for the front. if I remember correctly my offsets for the fronts were +55 and rears +60 or 65.

What are the pros of running the 235 over the 225, I heard the 235 is a taller tire and should I get a 255/45 to compensate??

Thanks!!!

As far as fitment for the front, both will work, but 235/45 is taller then the rear, its noticeable visually as well as the added sidewall deflection/numbness with turn in response. I would deter you from that size for those reasons. 225 is a better width match for a 8" wide wheel.

Would a 235/40 be better in comparison with the 225/45?

If I remember correctly a 225/45 is shorter than the 255/40 which from reading all these other post be a better setup?

Thanks

225/45 is the same diameter as 255/40. I see no advantage to running a 235, although if you do I would recommend the 235/40 instead of 235/45.

NT05 looks cool but not the best grip, you can do a lot better...

You just made my life awhole lot harder bud, lol.

the nitto's nt05 are 160 for the 255/40/17. Those other tires I assumed are a bit more, in the 200 plus a tire range.

Decision....

Hankook Ventus RS-3 V2 $154 for 255/40-17. Great performing tires for reasonable $$$. And the V2s are good even in cool/wet conditions (as opposed to the original RS-3). I run these in the warmer months, like them a lot.
