Default Small problem...Volks.

O.K.,here it goes;received and installed my Volk CE-28 Mercury silver.
Very happy;but the problem is,I cannot use my standard wheel wrench(car supplied).
The size is O.K.but the walls of the wrench are too thick,it does not fit inside the hole.
I managed to install, and tighten them with my ratchet and a piece of pipe, but it's not very practical, and I don't want to carry my ratchet around all the time.
I'M sure,I'm not the first one to have this problem;so,what do you Guys, recommend.???
Thank's,
-Emil.

I had the same problem. The issue i had is that the lug nuts on my car were the wrong ones. Volk rims were not designed to be used with the "ball" faced lug nuts like the ones that come on OEM. I have been told to replace them with the proper lugs which I will do when I get my rims back from restoration as I was a victim of a giant pot hole. The proper lugs I have been told to use are cone/ wedge shaped. When I used the Honda factory lug wrench it also scuffed the inside hole so dont use that. Hope this helps!

Emil, DO NOT use the OEM lugnuts with Volk rims. You will damage the area around the holes and they will not hold the rims on your car properly. You must get aftermarket lugnuts as described by milkbubble.

Not just "any" aftermarket wheels. Not all of them have that taper. Some will have the same as OEM. For Volks, you can get any number of brands that have that taper. "Rays" is one such brand.
