Default Snow tires

I just receintly moved back up to Massachusetts from South Carolina and was wondering about what I should do for the winter. Instead of buying a second car, I'm thinking of just getting snow tires.

What tires does everyone recommend? Price is a bigger factor than anything, I dont care about ride quality/performance with winter tires.

Also, do I need a second set of rims or can I just swap my summer tires out for the winter and put them back on the original wheels come spring or does that ruin the tire or something.

Currently my commute to work is 60 miles with lots of traffic.... I wouldnt want to do it in anything but my MY00 S2000

Thanks in advance.

When mine was a daily driver I went with a second set of rims with hankook icebears and was pleased with the driveability.

I believe they were 16X7.5 with 215/50 16 all the way around, give or take. If I remember right it was about $700 out the door for the package.

Keep in mind that the only traction control you have is your right foot and these will not help if you drive like an idiot on snow and ice.

You can just switch tires back and forth or you can go with a separate package of wheels and tires. In the long run the package with the wheels and tires will probably cost you less.
As far as the tires go I like the Blizzaks and the Dunlop Winter Sports.
If I can help let me know.

I sent you a PM regarding 4 used Blizzaks mounted on Rims that I am selling. The tires and rims are in very good condition. Check it out and let me know.
