Default Some n00b tire questions :)

I know this has been beaten to death, but I cant seem to find when I'm looking for the in the sticky. Anyway, my questions are these. First, do any 225 tires have a "245" contact patch? I thought I had heard somewhere that the Kuhmo Ecsta Ex tires do.

If I do go w/ a 245 tire in the rear, should I step up to a 225 up front (or is it just the rear S02 that runs wide?).

I'd do either 215 or 225's in the front if you do 245's in the rear. I had 225's in the front, but I went to 215's and like it better.

The only 225's with a 245 contact patch that I know of are the s02's specifically for the s2k.

If you really want to know, bug Jim. He knows all the tire stuff.

The OEM S02s have a contact patch equivalent to a 245. You should be buying 245s for the rear, and 205s for the front if you are getting diff tires.

225f/245r combo is used by those with stiffer sways. you do not want to do this, it will change the handling characteristics of the car.
