Default Spec Combo

Im looking for rims as a friend of mine just became vendor for alot of high end brands and needs buy in's on some so he's offering Cost to me. Im wondering though since there seems to be a lot of contradiction What is the Correct Size Rim (width) set i should get ? 17x? front 17x ? rear should i go wider in the rear are there pros and cons to going wider in the rear? Also whats a good offset for the front and rear?

My S is mainly driven on the Street. and ill be using the stock 16's for AutoX

Thank you for any help that can clear up some confusion here

Default

17x7.5 f
17x9 r

or

17x7 f
17x8 r

Both will be great for street driving.
Wider rims will allow for wider tires. More rubber to the road.

Stock offsets are
+55f
+65r

Try to stay as close to those specs as possible. The smaller the number on the offsets, the farther the wheel will stick out past the bumper.
