Well someone must like them..... they sell a ton of them(the rims). Otherwise they wouldn't be in business.

and your right the Pontiac Aztec should have never been designed.

I get motion sickness looking at them. The vehicle is stationary but the wheels are still moving.

Or when the vehicle is moving, and the rims look like they aren't moving at all, that is weird.

By the way, Darkknight, your rims look quite nice on your S. I have always liked that wheel.

Thanks man!
How do you like the TL? My parent just bought one, they can't wait to take delivery. I can't wait for them to get it home

I love it. Not as fun as the S, but one of the best sports sedans for under $40K. Very smooth. I have 18" Mas Sagitta wheels, with 245/40's, and it looks quite good. It does have it's fair share of torque steer under full throttle, but it sure revs nice. Like the S, it has a nice sound when the VTEC kicks in. I have had mine for over 2 years now(took delivery in May of 01). My lease is up next may, and I can't wait to get the replacement TL. It is soooooo good looking, have you seen it? It looks like a cross between the TSX, and the Cadillac CTS. Very tough looking. If they release a Type S version of that, I will be definitely getting one.

People are getting carjacked and shot and killed here to steal these things. Just like the Nike shoes.

Frankly, I consider them a curiosity and a road hazard. I drove home one day and the light ahead of me changed from red to green. One of those SUV's with spinner rims stopped at the intersection. I saw him stop, but nearly hit the brakes in panic, because in my peripheral vision, I saw the SUV start to "drive out" into a red light.

If course it wasn't moving, but the spinning rims sure made it look like it did.

It's not big deal for me anymore, but the first time I saw them nearly stained my seats.

Though I think these things will go the way of many fads. Give it a few more months, and you can get spinning hub caps at Pep Boys right next to the fake disc brake rotors.
