squeaky new tires
i've got some new BFG GForce T/A KDs on my rear wheels. 255/40/17. previous tires were the same, but in 245/40/17.
they have about 1,000 miles, so the release compound should be well and scrubbed. they are VERY squeaky! it seems almost comically easy to cause the familiar sound of screeching tires when cornering at low speeds, even without venturing too deep into the throttle. a 90 degree normal city turn will make noise at about 1/2 throttle and 4500rpm in 1st gear. is this a characteristic of relatively new tires? i really don't recall the previous ones doing this... perhaps i'm pushing the rear of the car a little harder now that i'm so used to it?

I am not sure. You will get more flex and lean with a new tire but I have not had that complaint on the KD's. I do know they are a very sticky tire and about as close to an R compound tire you can get for the street.
