yep.

the difference is the lips..

the SSW have a cast hoop.
(not hard for SSR/tanabe to have 2 different setups because they prolly dont make the hoops(lips) anyway.. prolly 3rd party

they just bolt up the spokes

spokes=same on both models

SSW has cast lip
SSr has SSF lip.. u can tell the difference by the shape of the lip. the SSR has the lip folded up/around to make it stronger

I just figured that since Tanabe bought all the designs and what not there might be a good chance they are making only one wheel now. Doesn't seem too cost effective to do 2 different types of the same wheel. Anyway, you are the expert though. Thanks for the info!

17x8 et 49
17x9.5 et 55

I went with:

225/45/17 Front
255/40/17 Rear

Most people do run the 255/40R17 but the 245/40R17 rear and 215/45R17 front also works and gives a little more room.
If I can help just give me a call.

Jim, I'm lowered on H&R Sport springs, and I want to run 225/45/17 Front and 255/40/17 Rear. I think these offsets will cause severe rubbing issues. Do you know if there's enough material on the hub plate to shave off about 5mm at all four corners?

Get a tire with rounder sidewalls and you'll probably be fine...Considering I'm dropped on eibach with a 1 inch drop running 225/45 and 255/40 on re050a I barely rub only a lil bit.....so worst case scenario for you would be that you'll barely rub......

You can also run a little more nugative camber and if you have to you can roll the fender lip. Give me a call and we can talk about the tires as well. Some tires just run narrower than others and that will give you a littl more room as well.
If I can help let me know.

Jim, the brochure that came with these wheels mentioned applying a coat of wax to the wheels. Is it safe for the finish on these?
